So you may be wondering what this site is about. You can create a character of any nation. If you are making a non-bending character when you post your character profile you must mention where your character is going to start off. As you move up in posts you will be able to move around the world.
If you are creating a bending character please make sure they are being taught (IC). You can get as creative as you want with the requirement but people can not just 'pick up' bending.
Some character examples are a young earth bender being sent to the Ba Sing Se University to be taught, or maybe a thief who lives in North Chung-Ling.
In the history there is a mention of a war. If you wish to take part in this over-arching storyline you may. However it is not mandatory that you take place in that war and instead can create a character doing anything anywhere else in the avatar world.
When you are ready to create a character create a new thread in Character Profiles and wait for approval before starting posting.

Posting Levels- Non-Bender Benefits
1) 0-49: Citizen- 1 Location 2)50-99: Novice Bender- 2 Locations 3)100-199: Initiate Bender- 5 Locations 4)200-349: Trainee Bender- 10 Locations 5)350-499: Journeyman Bender- 15 Location 6)500-699: Master Bender- 20 Locations 7)700-899: Adept Bender- 25 Locations 8)900: Avatar- Can go to any location
1) No Bending. You can have your character do random, uncontrolled bending in order to demonstrate bending ability, this is so (IC) you have a reason to get sent for training, but that's it. 2) Small bending. Small bending includes: drops or small amounts of water, small flames like candle flames, pebbles, and tiny whirlwinds or breezes. 3) Moderate Bending. Can control a decent amount of your element but can only move it. 4) Basic Fighting. Can start using your element for some fighting moves. Note to air benders, at this stage Aang's air scooter is allowed, though technically he invented it. 5) Good Fighting. Can control large amounts of your element for blunt attacks like tidal waves or earthquakes as well as using smaller amounts for skilled maneuvers. 6) Master Fighting. Can control large amounts of your element for skilled attacks such as creating pillars of rock, large octopus forms of water, tornadoes or breathing fire. 7) Specials. Can use the advanced form of your bending style. 8) Can do whatever you want with you element, however you can not actually control other elements.

Locations
When it comes to locations with sub-boards each sub-board counts as one location as well as the location itself. Example: You can have a character that lives in Ba Sing Se and post outside of the sub-boards or you can have a character at Ba Sing Se University. That means Ba Sing Se plus its six sub boards is a total of seven locations.
